A violent strategy for the Colombian countryside: What the “Change with Equity” Development Plan does not say

Abstract

The purpose of this essay is more informative than demonstrative. Hence its division. The first part contains a very general summary of the Development Plan “Change with Equity” in terms of general purposes and those referring to the agricultural sector. The second part presents something that many sectors suffer from, others know about and most people sense but not in great detail; and the third part gives a quick look at the economic situation of agriculture, quite descriptive but not more extensive, mainly due to the lack of information and studies on the sector.
