Abstract

This issue of Controversia deals with four topics: the current government, television, the Liberator Simon Bolivar and the Caribbean Basin. Apparently these four topics have nothing to do with each other; and yet they are part of the great political problems that are currently being debated in the country and in Latin America. Part of a discussion that has a great common background: the concepts of common: the concepts of the State, of popular participation, of the historical foundations of our nationality, of self-determination and national liberation in the geopolitical context of which we are a part.
