Abstract
The objective of this article is to provide an account of the labor market integration process of undocumented Colombian migrants in Paterson, highlighting the ways in which this integration is linked to the racialization of such migration. It is found that labor integration takes place within a subcontracting network that is based on criminalization and urban segregation as racialization techniques. Consequently, employers are able to exert control over labor in a way that meets the needs of production and capital accumulation effectively.
